GPS Ministry (TOI)

GPS is the acronym of Global Prayer School.

Generally, GPS signifies the Global Positioning System. It is a necessity in our daily lives. If there are any troubles in the satellite system, this GPS will not function well.

However, the GPS of God can’t be shaken by errors.

It is permanent and accurate,

thus guiding you through the road of life.

Psalms 37:5 says,

“Commit your way to the LORD;

Trust in him and he will do this.”

and receive a fruitful life

First,

GPS Ministry helps activate the theology of Christian prayer in local churches and mission institutions. 

“Lord’s Prayer” is the textbook of GPS and the contents of “Theology of Christian Prayer.” The practical application according to the “Lord’s Prayer” means by the achievement of Lord’s Great Commission and of the life filled with the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Seok Won Kim has stressed the importance of “the theology of Christian prayer” in his book, The Theology of Prayer, which annotated the Lord’s Prayer in 1992.

This is because Liberalists understand the scripture without praying rightly, while Charismatics have misapplied the teaching of prayer in the scripture.

We want to help activate the establishment of the church and the parachurch on basis of sound theology.

Second, GPS Ministry helps to trigger a good testimonial ministry by the answers to prayers of faith.

GPS helps to create God’s plus miracle succeedingly by the prayer of faith, to raise up evangelical churches and healthy families, and to trigger a ministry of testimonies, bringing personal maturity of faith and the virtue of the church.

Dr.Seok Won Kim testified to the world about his experiences of God’s answers in his book, “The Miracle of One Dollar, plus, plus.”

GPS Ministry wants to help the lay people, ministers, and pastors come together and share their testimonies of miracles and answered prayers.

Third, GPS Ministry is helping the commencement of the sharing of blessings through God’s answers and igniting the serving ministry.

In the book of Matthew, chapter 6, Jesus spoke of the outreach (Matt 6:2-4) before the Lord’s Prayer (Matt 6:9-13).

He said that a life of serving and sharing should be followed before the prayer of the Lord’s Prayer.

GPS Ministry, through the prayer answers of God’s blessings, searches the corners of the world to help and serve the sick, especially people who are suffering from HIV. We want to create a network of prayers to be of assistance.

Fourth, GPS Ministry wants to help start the Cyber GPS even if it starts with two people.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you one earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matt 18:19-20)

The principal of GPS is Jesus,

the teaching of GPS is the word of God (Lord’s prayer),

and the students of GPS are ourselves.

GPS is also the Great Commission Global Prayer Movement to establish the Cyber Prayer Schools in this Global age.

Dr. Bill Bright was the founder of the CCC International ministries. In his lifetime, he stressed the importance of prayer and began the “Fasting & Prayer” movement. To fulfill the Lord’s Great Commission, he did everything in his power for God’s plans.

GPS ministry was started by Dr. Seok Won Kim, Director of the Korean Program of The TOI (The Orlando Institute) as well as the professor since 1992, with Dr. Steve Clinton, president of the TOI, to pursue the vision of the importance of prayer.

The courses of GSP’s teaching, combined with NLTC in TOI, are

‘Prayer and Evangelism,’

‘Prayer and Discipleship,’

and ‘Prayer and Leadership.’

We plan to start the Global Prayer School by helping the start of this ministry through training leaders and sending them out to not just the cities of the United States but the cities of the world.
